Whatever the crisis, whenever it arises. Talk to us. We are here to help or put you in touch with someone who can.

This is how we support you at the Addington Fund:

Retirement Homes

Are you a farmer who wants or needs to retire but can’t find a suitable house to move into or cannot afford one? Perhaps you have suffered ill health or you have lost your farm because of circumstances beyond your control? In times like this, we are here for you.

Farmworker Grants

We can help you purchase essential goods for your home, if you work in or are retired from farming in England and you are on a low income. Through the George Stephens Trust Fund, we can offer grants of up to £1,000 to cover the costs of essential personal items including white goods and furnishings.

Affordable Houses

If you work in, or are retiring from, agriculture or a rural industry, but the cost of renting in the countryside is beyond your reach, we help by providing properties at affordable rent. We retain ownership of these homes so that they can continue to support generations of rural workers long into the future.

Disaster Relief

When disaster strikes, we help farmers through our emergency fund. We will use this fund to support you if your farm is severely impacted by a disease outbreak or prolonged inclement weather. Very quickly, we can send much needed supplies direct to your farm so that your livestock do not have to go without.

New Entrants and Legacy Farms

We want the very best for the future of agriculture and so we are determined to support the next generation of farmers too. Any legacy farms entrusted to our care will be offered to first generation farmers as valuable routes into the industry. We believe new entrants bring fresh, innovative ideas and energy to the industry – qualities we think are essential to forge profitable futures in the industry.

“Thank you for the support I received from the Addington Fund a few months ago. It was a horrendous year for us and the generous contribution that I received from you was a great help. We are not out of the woods, but we can see a light at the end of the tunnel now.”
