101 uses for your Ostrich

£3.00

A collection of useful and not so useful thoughts…

This book will raise not just a smile, but much needed funds for us, and has the honour of a foreword by the late Duke of Westminster.

The concept of tasking Chester schoolchildren from Upton-by-Chester High School – and some very experienced cartoonists – with devising new and unusual uses for these wonderful creatures is the brainchild of CLA member Barrie Hardern, encouraged by Addington Fund Trustee and CLA Cheshire committee stalwart, David Rowland.

One day, while regretting the loss of connection between man and beast in this technological age, Barrie realised that Ostriches were ‘truly curious creatures’ and could perhaps, with a little creative thinking and a good sprinkling of humour, fill the gap left behind by oxen and assess and re-establish the working relationship between farmers and fauna.

As well as providing a springboard for young, creative talent, this entertaining book is being released to benefit the Addington Fund.

Foreword by the late Duke of Westminster KG CB CVO OBE TD CD DL.
